Bellwood Cottages and Wedding Venue is on a working stud farm, is situated in the heart of the beautiful Kwa Zulu Natal Midlands spanning over 650 acres of green flowing hills, magical avenues of ancient trees and woods and is widely recognised for its unparalleled beauty.
Our 5 warm and inviting self catering cottages sleeping, 14-16 guests are set around a tranquil dam, a quaint honeymoon cottage and a rustic family farm cottage provide serenity from the rush and bustle of city life. The facilities and inclusions are comprehensive and of the highest quality.
The cottages are surrounded by landscaped gardens, ideally located for wedding guests or a quiet weekend away designed for our guests to enjoy a relaxed and comfortable ambience.

Bellwood Wedding Venue caters for intimate weddings of 60 guests up to lavish weddings of 250 guests.
With the choice of two unique chapels, Bellwood allows you to have the wedding you have always dreamed of. Whether your dream is to have an intimate ceremony under a lush forest canopy or a ceremony in an old stone chapel.
CHAPEL
The Old Barn Chapel is the original milking shed built in 1899 and has been lovingly restored as a wedding chapel providing a rustic ambience of serenity and peace for 170 guests.
Our Forest Chapel is set under a canopy of lush pine forest with terraced log seating for 180 guests. Drinks and canapés, tea and coffee may be served whilst your guests enjoy the stunning the stunning views down into the valley.

Pros: The scenery, farm, and venue are all stunning. The trees as you enter, the dam, the forest chapel is all very beautiful. There is also a beautiful Plan B indoor chapel in case the weather is bad. The reception hall is big, and classy looking and overlooks a dam. The lawn for cocktail hour is beautiful. Lots of accommodation on site (almost enough for the entire wedding). The lady in charge is very experienced and really made me feel like everything is thought of and would be looked after.
Cons: The indoor chapel, while beautiful, has very low roof beams. A very tall person might hit their head. The accommodation consists of very large cottages with very outdated bedding. The bedding is dark green with pictures of horse heads on it (hopefully it gets changed soon).
