Assegaai Centre
Very attractive, comfortable and affordable accommodation for larger groups – school groups, church family camps, youth get-togethers, business ‘spanbou’ weekends, etc. Ideal for birthday parties, weddings and conferences. A delightful setting, comprising a large hall and outdoor facilities, 15 comfortable rooms accommodating 50 guests, with shared ablutions and kitchen facilities, outdoor and indoor games, as well as access to the Assegaai hiking trails. Completing the complex is the little stone chapel and outdoor gazebo. In order to keep this accommodation affordable, guests are required to bring their own bedding and towels (pillows are provided).

Self-catering Cottages
For those who enjoy a little more luxury, Assegaai Trails offers 7 charming, én-suite, fully equipped, self-catering cottages of various sizes. All have idyllic views, and a private patio to relax with your ice cold drink and watch the sun set, while your braai fire crackles nearby. And when you feel like it, there is easy access to the hiking trails.

Bottom’s Up Hiking Camp
Situated at the start of the hike, this semi open air, ‘rustic with class’ camp is set at the edge of a pretty dam, where the energetic can canoe or tube, while the not-so-energetic can just ‘park off’ and enjoy the view! It has braai facilities, bunks, mattresses, drinking water, hot showers and flush toilets. This camp also boasts a fridge and an electrical power point. It sleeps 14+.

Rock Bottom Hiking Camp
Consisting of a timber deck built around an old ‘boerboon‘ tree, and situated at the foot of the majestic Glenfield Cliff on the banks of the Assegaai River. Rock Bottom has an ambiance all its own. Far away from the ‘madding crowd’, one can laze in a hammock or tube among the waterlilies on the Assegaai, with the smell of the braai wafting by. It sleeps 20 and has bunks, mattresses, drinking water, solar lighting, paraffin lanterns, flush toilets, hot showers and braai facilities.
