DESCRIPTION
Lupela Lodge offers country farm-style accommodation in rustic cottages situated in a scenic valley in the Witteberg mountains on the R58 between Barkly East and Lady Grey. There are three dwellings on the farm that provide the accommodation, the 10-sleeper Lupela Cotage, the 2-Sleeper Silo Cottage and the 4-Sleeper lookout cottage, with the choice of self-catering or dinner, bed and breakfast.

Staying here means you can read in peace, walk in silence learning more about life and yourself. Picnic along the river and swim in crystal clear mountain pools.
The view on the farm is spectacular with deep valleys and sheer sandstone cliffs cut out of the mountains by the majestic Karnemelkspruit and its many tributaries. The seasons offer a favour for any intrepid traveller, from the snow capped mountains in the winter months to the hot and rainy summer months, this is a destination for any season.
Game on the property includes Blesbuck, Mountain Rheebuck, Vaal Rheebuck, Cape Grysbuck and a variety of smaller buck species.

RECEPTION HALL
OuKraal" wedding and function venue
"OuKraal" is our sandstone wedding venue that can accommodate up to 300 guests on long or square tables. Soft drapes, fairy lights and chandeliers add a classic charm to this 86 year old wool shed.
Here is peace, tranquillity and quietness, a presence of how great our Creator is.
This little haven is 25km from the small town of Lady Grey, in a valley on the Karnemelkspruit. There is a 5km gravel road and as it is a farm road high clearance vehicle is recommended but not a must.
The venue is on two levels with the lower level used for pre-drinks and should weather not permit for the ceremony, as well as the Friday evening get-together and where we serve breakfast and dinner.
ACCOMMODATION
LUPELA COTTAGE
This spacious self-catering lodge overlooking the Karnemelkspruit has 5 en-suite bedrooms and sleeps a maximum of 10 people. Three bedrooms are inside the Lodge and two bedrooms are entered from the verandah. The Lodge has an open plan lounge, dining room, pub and kitchen.
The kitchen is fully equipped with hot water, electric stove, fridge, microwave oven and outside braai facilities.
Lounge with big fireplace and a pub area. Bedrooms are fitted with comfortable ¾ beds in all 5 rooms with crisp clean white bedding and towels. Electric blankets provided for icy winter nights.
The lodge is serviced once a day. For catered groups all meals are served in the main dwelling except if stated otherwise.
THE SILO COTTAGE
This charming building was used as a grain store before being converted into a small cottage.
It consists of an en-suite bedroom with 2 ¾ beds which can be made up as a king size bed on request on the first level. The bedroom has a reed ceiling, white linen and an electric blanket to keep you cosy on cold nights.
A lounge/kitchen area at ground level with a small fridge, microwave, two burner gas stove and braai facilities on a spacious stoep.
The Silo Cottage is serviced once a day.
LOOKOUT COTTAGE
Look Out cottage is on the river bank overlooking the river. This cottage has two en-suite bedrooms and open plan kitchen, dining room and lounge.
It is fully equipped and all bedding and towels provided except swimming towels. The cottage makes use of gas only and solar lighting.
There is a big stoep in front and braai facilities. It is a truly charming little cottage where you can become one with nature.
