Cranford Country Lodge and Wedding Venue is the perfect setting for country-chic weddings. Nestled in a picturesque valley near Curry’s Post, in the KwaZulu Natal Midlands, we are surrounded by enchanting gardens, rolling hills and magical forests.
As a venue, we go the extra mile to create the event you have always dreamed of, offering elegant facilities that exude country charm, a team of experienced staff that provide service excellence, not to mention unprecedented natural backdrops that will impress you and your guests.

RECEPTION HALL
Cranford offers their brides and grooms a choice between two very different, yet equally unique reception venues. Your reception should be one to enjoy, our venue is tastefully decorated and the waitrons carefully trained to provide you and your guests' service excellence. We can seat a maximum of 150 guests in our reception halls.
The Barn with its rustic open rafters, stone arches and fire places, has a wonderful country feel and is a fantastic space for a wedding reception.
"The Great Room” is Cranford's second reception venue and was completed in April 2015. Its white roof and walls offer a ‘blank canvas’ on which you can create your dream wedding reception. The subtle, yet charming details make it a stylishly innovative and contemporary space. Your reception should be one to enjoy and both our venues have been tastefully decorated to suit a variety of tastes.
Cranford has a great leveled area for marquee weddings. Please note that marquee weddings are still limited to 150 guests
CHAPEL
Our Chapel seats 150 people and overlooks our largest bass dam. It is an open thatched church with natural stone found on Cranford farm amidst the trees.
Alternatively you could have your ceremony in our beautiful gardens.
ACCOMMODATION
Cranford Country Lodge comprises of 26 Bedrooms, which includes a Honeymoon Suite, family suites and cottages, sleeping 60 guests depending on sleeping arrangements.
The Bridal Suite is complimentary to the Bridal Couple on the night of their wedding.
Ideally we would prefer you take up all the room to ensure exclusivity on your special day, but we understand that this may not be practical. view accommodation page

Tracey is a Durbanite and Pierre is Canadian, they met whilst working in Korea and have since moved to Cape Town. They have jumped through alot of loops to get to the point where they can live together and both of them absolutely love the Cape. They are particularly fond of all the wine farms down there and love a spot of wine tasting when they have time off together. Both of them are fun loving folk who have close relationships with the important people in their lives. It was therefore very important for them to have an intimate wedding with their nearest and dearest. They chose Cranford Country Lodge in the Natal Midlands to say their I do’s and Pierre totally lost their bet as to who would cry first at the ceremony!
Wishing you both a lifetime full of happiness. Thanks for being such troopers on your creative shoot, we so enjoyed working with you. It was such a joyous wedding and these are always my favorites to shoot! … And we will never ever forget Dean’s crazy antics on the dance floor! Thanks so much for picking me!

May 25, 2020 at 11:28 amI viewed this venue. It is a super beautiful venue in a great location. I didn’t love how closed the halls are though. Very ‘indoor’. Also both reception halls are quite small. I was looking for a venue for 150 person wedding and while 150 people might fit, it would be a squeeze. This venue is much better suited for small intimate weddings.
