    Say your “I do’s” under the old Tipuana tree, or in the open air framed chapel overlooking the hills and plains of the Badfontein Valley. The Cowshed team will do everything they can to ensure your day is as beautiful and unique as your relationship.

    Your reception hosted in our simplistic Old Shed, a blank canvas yearning for a unique and stylish experience to be brought to life. We are confident it will be a night to remember. The décor, with a nod to yesteryear or crisp and minimalistic, is unusual and inspiring. With its white cement floors that beckon even the most reluctant dancer to take a turn, the hand-made wire chandeliers or edgy modern lamp shades, you know this will be an occasion none of your guests will forget. The modern freshness combined with a relaxed farm feeling will take your breath away.

    ACCOMMODATION

    Boarding House
    Sleeping sixteen people in eight double rooms, the Boarding House provides an ideal accommodation solution for large parties of guests. The communal areas allow for a greater shared experience with the privacy of your room beckoning when you need to take a moment to rest and recuperate.

    Large windows allow the sunshine to drench each bedroom and welcome in the sounds and smells of Africa. Each room has been individually themed, using nostalgic remnants of the past, leaving guests with a unique, retro experience of yesteryear. As with all accommodation on the farm, the spacious rooms have been designed with comfort in mind and feature en-suite bathrooms with showers, excellent quality linen and unique furnishings to give them a unique feel.

    The Boarding House has a splendid fully-equipped, central farm-style kitchen and stoep which provides guests with the perfect venue for socialising and relaxing. There are a multitude of places to sit and catch up, including beautifully-crafted braai areas, and indoor as well as outdoor dining areas. A large indoor fireplace in the open plan lounge sets the scene for a perfect evening of board games, chatter or even quiet contemplation.

    Farmhouse
    Originally a working farmhouse, this building has long since shrugged off its dirty boots and farming equipment in favour of a living space designed for leisure! With an expansive, fully furnished, covered verandah, this house meets all your entertainment and relaxation needs. Enjoy the view or fall asleep on one of the comfortable couches!

    Cowshed House
    The Cowshed, built as a house in 1913, and later used as a working milking shed, has now been restored to its former glory! Designed around a central living and entertainment area, it accommodate eight people spaciously. Situated next to a dam, and overlooking a vlei, the covered veranda is the perfect spot from which to view the abundant birdlife. If you are awake early enough, you might even catch a glimpse of a female serval returning home to her den after a night of hunting.

    Mountain House
    Situated on the slopes of the mountain, this thatched, double storey, comfortable family home affords panoramic views of the Badfontein Valley & Kwena Dam. There is fully equipped kitchen, living area and a covered stoep overlooking the Badfontein Valley. There is DSTV and a braai area. Wet weather in summer means that either incredible driving skills and or a 4×4 vehicle are essential.

    Honeymoon Tent
    Enjoy your first night as a married couple in our luxurious tented suite, situated on a teak deck overlooking one of our picturesque dams. The suite boasts a magnificent four-poster bed, a Victorian bath, as well as an outdoor shower and bathroom. There is also an adjacent tent which includes a kitchen, lounge and dining area.
