    Rustig Wedding venue in the Magaliesberg is a well-established family farm run by the Oosthuizen clan. From its Tobacco growing roots in the 1930s, the farm now specialises in cattle and game – and of course proving an idyllic escape from the nearby metropolises of Johannesburg and Pretoria.

    With accommodation, amazing hiking trails, good food and a beautiful pool on offer, Rustig is ideal for families and corporates to enjoy some time away or for some team building. In addition, the upmarket wedding venue overlooking the beautiful gardens, make Rustig an ideal wedding destination.

    RECEPTION HALL

    Many of our wonderful brides chose a weekend of fun and entertainment with the wedding celebrations starting as early as Friday evening and ending with a beautiful breakfast on the Sunday morning. The Venue can host up to 150 guests with beautiful views of the Magalies mountain with a fully equipped bar, VIP lounge and children’s play room. We look forward to taking you through the endless possibilities for your perfect day!

    Set along the serene Magalies Meander, nestled under the Magaliesburg mountain range and situated a mere 45 minutes from Pretoria and Johannesburg, Rustig is Gauteng’s best kept wedding venue secret. Boasting magnificent views, a five star wedding hall with an expansive veranda overlooking a beautiful Terrace garden and with fine dining on offer, Rustig is the ideal venue for the bride who is looking for affordable sophistication. The venue also offers the bridal party the opportunity to stay over at the magnificent original farm house – now classified as a heritage site.

    ACCOMMODATION

    Heritage House

    Heritage House was the original farmhouse on Rustig, and is now our guesthouse. It has 3 bedrooms and can accommodate 6 people. The first 2 Bedrooms feature double beds while the third features 2 single beds.

    The Farmhouse

    The Farmhouse can accommodate 10 people in its 5 spacious rooms, and has a beautiful farm “stoep” (Verandah), a large kitchen and 3 bathrooms.

    Backpackers

    Has 6 rooms, that each sleeps 6 people. There is a communal kitchenette and easy access to the nearby ablution block.

    Stone House

    The Stone House has a rustic appeal and is one of our oldest buildings on the property. It sleeps 4 in its 2 bedrooms. The main bedroom features a double bed while the second room a bunk bed. There is a small kitchenette and access to the ablution block is only a 5-7 meters away.

    Tent 4 Sleeper

    Rustig has 3 charming completely self-contained, self-catering 4 sleeper tents each with it’s own en-suite bathroom.

    Tent 6 Sleeper

    Rustig has 1 charming completely self-contained, self-catering 6 sleeper tent with it’s own en-suite bathroom.
