Our friendly and cheerful staff remain discreetly in the background, providing you with the feeling that you have the entire estate to yourself. Resident German Pointers keep a watchful eye on the daily workings of the farm.

ACCOMMODATION

Hawksmoor House has 16 enchanting guest rooms in four buildings set around the historic ‘werf’, reflection pond and expansive gardens.

The Manor House, The Slave Quarters, the Dairy Rooms and Edge House Villa are all original footprints of the historic farm, converted with great sympathy and flair by the owners, and furnished with an elegant mix of beautiful antique pieces.

Each building offers a different perspective on the landscape and farm, and each room is individually decorated. No matter what room you stay in, the experience is consistently elegant and the hospitality warm and relaxed.

CLASSIC ROOMS

Four of the five Classic Rooms are located in the historic Manor House and the 5th room is situated in the Dairy Rooms building on the farm, a short walk across the ‘werf’ from the Manor House. These rooms, all with en-suite bathrooms, feature queen or twin beds. The spacious and tastefully decorated double rooms are named according to the prevailing colour or decor theme: the Beige Room, the Brown Room, the Green Room and the Blue Room (Manor House) and the French Room (Diary).

Ample natural light floods the Classic rooms while double doors lead onto private patios, affording views of the lush garden or adjacent farmland, all the way towards Table Mountain.

LUXURY ROOMS

There are two Luxury Rooms: the one, called the White Room, is located in the historic Manor House, and the other, called the Cape Room, is situated in the Diary Rooms building. Both offer queen beds and beautiful en-suite bathrooms with a shower and/or freestanding bath.

Guests can expect stunning views of Table Mountain or a garden view with lots of lush greenery and welcome sunlight. Decor includes exquisite antiques cleverly balanced with clean lines and striking contemporary touches.

SUPERIOR ROOMS

The seven Superior Rooms are large and spacious, offering private terraces and underfloor heating throughout, making a winter holiday a joy. The rooms boast spectacular mountain and garden views and are elegantly furnished with antiques and contemporary touches. Queen or twin beds are offered in these rooms together with luxurious en-suite bathrooms with a shower and freestanding bath.

The Superior Rooms are located within the Slave Cottages building on the South side of the property as well as the Edge House situated on the West side. Each room offers a very different and striking interior according to a unique theme. Guests can stay in the Grey Room (Bridal Room), the Map Room or the Chinese Room – all within the Slave Cottages. In the Edge House they can enjoy the comfort of the Tool Room, Milk Room, Pharmacy Room and the Seed Room.

EDGE HOUSE VILLA

This self-catering Villa is situated within the Edge House on the West side of the property and is the perfect getaway location for a family or group of friends for an unforgettable and relaxing stay over and entertaining in a private and tranquil farm setting.
