CHAPEL

Casa Cara boasts a stunning 150 seater chapel overlooking the dam and mountains.

The chapel is fitted with stacking doors for those long warm summer days when you want to get married inside but you don’t want to get married in that typical hot stuffy inside atmosphere, this is your solution! After the ceremony, your guests can be treated to refreshments at the outside serving station at the chapel which overlooks the beautiful views, while you slip away for your photo session. The large wooden jetty is built into the dam. The uncovered jetty is often used for weddings, functions and long table events under the night skies.

ACCOMMODATION

Casa Cara Lodge is a Wedding, Function & Family Entertainment Venue. The property falls within the Vredefort Dome World Heritage area and is situated on a farm just outside Parys, Free State.
The lodge is surrounded by magnificent scenery, grasslands, mountains, and the mighty Vaal River borders a section of the property. The entertainment area is a suspended wooden deck, built over a large dam with stunning views of the surrounding hills and veldt. The venue incorporates a Restaurant, Wedding & Function area’s, a Kids Playpark, Animal Farm and an assortment of accommodation is available. Casa Cara Lodge offers a wide range of accommodation, from upmarket Self-Catering Units to Camp Sites, nestled along the banks of the Vaal River. The lodge offers a number of Standard self-catering accommodation units; a Family Deluxe Unit, Bushcamp, Baracca’s, Pond Unit, Luxury Tent, as well as our Honeymoon Suite. Casa Cara Lodge offers two types of camping sites, which is our Pool View Stands and very popular River View Stands.

Casa Cara Guesthouse is a centrally located guesthouse in the small, ‘arty’, tourist town, of Parys in the Free State. It’s only an hour away from Johannesburg and well worth the scenic drive. After enjoying the arts, crafts and great food Parys as to offer, take in a few sights and beautiful views of the surrounding countryside and the Vaal River. Casa Cara Vaaldam is located near the small tourist town of Deneysville in the Free State. It is located on the banks of the Vaal Dam and has stunning views over the dam. It is also perfectly situated to watch the sunset over the water, making for one of the best sundowner views on earth! It’s only an hour and a half away from Johannesburg.

If you leave Johannesburg early you’ll be out in the countryside within half an hour, where you’ll spend the rest of your trip in the most wonderful surroundings our country has to offer, rolling hills, grasslands, and stunning farms will fly by and leave you almost as breathless as that first great kiss. To top it all the rising sun will bathe the countryside in a soft warm glow, and it will seem as if the grass and cornfields are literally on fire, practically leaving you in tears as you stop at the main gate to collect the house keys.
