DESCRIPTION
Mooiplaatsie Country Estate & Function Venue is a four star graded Rustic Wedding Venue and Guesthouse, situated on the Old Bronkhorstspruit Road,
just outside Pretoria East.
Unique features of Mooiplaatsie are the wooden chapel over the dam, Liefieland, the woodland Chapel area, Farm Tractor and vintage Chevy,
set out in beautiful landscaped gardens, filled with aloes and succulents - a perfect family Wedding Venue.
Weddings are available from 50 to 150 guests and Accommodation for 44 overnight guests in separate Guest Houses located throughout the property.

RECEPTION HALL
Mooiplaatsie was built using natural materials and features - encasing rocks from the property in steel gabions, echoed on the estate, and in the design of the Venue Hall. Completing the large Hall, stack-up, custom-made wooden folding doors, tree and leaf designed metalwork, wooden bar and DJ area and tiled floor ensure a modern, yet homey farm venue, perfect for a Rustic, Bohemian or Vintage Wedding.
Rusted implements are scattered amongst succulent beddings and bunnies laze around on landscaped lawns. Photographic opportunites include our Red Tractor, famous rusted Chevvy, secluded woodland walkways, Liefieland and our Bushveld landscape.
We offer affordable wedding packages from 50 to 150 guests. Bridal couples often mention our friendliness, attention to detail, flexibility and willingness to assist the reasons for choice of Wedding Venue.
We have an experienced Catering team who are constantly getting accolades as the best food at any wedding venue in the area - succulent meat dishes, fresh presentation and delectable plated desserts.
CHAPEL
Wedding ceremonies are traditionally held in the open-air chapel, Swanemeer, over the farm dam, home to a few exotic ducks and swans. Liefieland, is an alternative outdoor woodland wedding or recreational area. The Boma area completes the festivities for late night wedding guests.
ACCOMMODATION
FAMILY UNITS
We have two Family Units, each Unit sleeping 4 guests.
These Units each have a Queen bed in one room and two single beds in the other.
EACH UNIT HAS A SHARED BATHROOM.
EN-SUITE DOUBLE ROOMS
Our Double Rooms have a Queen size bed, air-conditioning and en-suite bathroom, clean linen, bathroom amenities and coffee and tea station.
TWIN ROOMS
These two rooms are in Plaatshuis, which has 4 rooms accommodating 8 guests in total.
These two rooms have two single beds, en-suite shower, basin and toilet, air-conditioning, clean towels, linen, room amenities and coffee and tea station.
STUDIO TWIN ROOM
Wolkie is a Studio Flat with two single beds and King Duvet Cover, air-conditioning, small kitchenette in the room, TV and separate shower, toilet and basin, clean towels and linen and room amenities.
BACHELOR FLATS
Nessie and Kardoesie are our two Bachelor Flats, equipped Queen bed, with TV, air-conditioning Separate full bathroom and Kitchenette. Clean linen, bath towels, tea and coffee station and room amenities are supplied. Nessie is on the top floor of Plaatshuis, and Kardoesie is on the ground floor.
LUXURY SUITES
Vinkel (Honeymoon Suite) and Koljander are our two luxury Suites, totally private and separate from the Guest House. Price includes an en-suite, open plan Room, with bath, shower, toilet and basin, queen-size bed, air-conditioning and mini bar-fridge.
Couples opting for the Full Honeymoon Package pay R2,000 for the room and are treated to Flowers, candles, rose petals, small snacks, chocolates and champagne leaving lovers feeling pampered after a memorable night. Full Breakfast is included in the Package.
INNIBOS CHALETS
Our new Innibos Chalets consist of four modern chalets, each sleeping four guests, set aside and separate from the other guest houses and with a typical 'bush' feel! Chalets consist of two single beds on the bottom and two single beds upstairs. Separate toilet and Bathroom with shower and Basin which is shared by all four guests. Small fridge, kettle, microwave oven and prep bowl in the room. Small private braai close to the patio. Communal lounge area. Clean linen, towels and coffee and tea station available. No TV’s and no air-conditioning.
