    DESCRIPTION

    Nestled in the rolling hills above the quaint seaside village of Herold’s Bay, only 10 km outside George in South Africa’s Garden Route, is where you’ll find Herolds Bay Resort. With its magnificent 270 degree views of the splendid Indian Ocean and Mossel Bay point in the background, the green pastures of the surrounding countryside and the majestic contours of the Outeniqua Mountains, the Resort offers a true feeling of serenity.

    The Resort, built in 2007, is settled on 66 hectares of farmland situated within hearing distance of the ocean. Very centrally located, it is about a 5-minute drive from George Airport, only 5 minutes’ drive from the beach and a stone’s throw from the Ernie Els-designed Oubaai Golf Resort. The central business district of George can also be reached within 15 minutes.

    Several options present itself to any couple considering Herolds Bay Resort as a wedding venue; from an open-air ceremony on The Grass Terrace next to the Down to Earth venue, to the lawns of our guesthouse next to the dam, or even somewhere in the veld, covered by a Moroccan stretch tent.

    Die Bush Lapa venue can also serve as a chapel for your ceremony. Our Down to Earth venue as well as The Grass Terrace offer amazing views of the azure ocean.

    We welcome smaller, more intimate weddings from as little as 30 people, or if you are planning to have a large celebration, we can accommodate up to 350 people.

    ACCOMMODATION

    The old family homestead was renovated and transformed into a 3-star-accredited, self-catering guesthouse, consisting of four private suites, each with its own private entrance.Three of these suites have a separate bedroom and living room with a sleeper couch to sleep two additional persons. For the bridal couple, we offer our honeymoon suite with beautiful views of the Indian Ocean from the bedroom. The guesthouse also provides two outdoor braai facilities
