RECEPTION HALL

The Venue Murasie is adorned with green lawns and white Eucalyptus trees overlooking a large dam; the ideal setting to enjoy a beautiful countryside sunset.

Please note that the dam water level naturally fluctuates with the seasons and is a result of rainfall. The Venue consists of the oak tree ceremony area complete with seating amphitheater,

Pre-drinks area under Eucolyptus trees, lobby, reception area, kitchen, bar, serving area and bathrooms segregated for men, women as well as wheelchair users.

We have a beautiful amphitheater under old oak trees with a tree stump pulpit. The area is complemented by a large church bell that can be rung on the arrival of the bride. The space is known for its tasteful fusion of natural elements with elegant characteristics. Our outdoor amphitheatre creates the ideal atmosphere for a fairy-tale wedding!

As an alternative ceremony option, the beautiful historic church in Baardskeerdersbos a mere 4 km from Murasie can be booked for ceremonies by contacting them directly.

ACCOMMODATION

Murasie offer a number of self catering accommodation available to wedding guests adjacent to the venue.
Cottages: Currently there are 3 restored cottages available which is located on the banks of the Murasie Dam.

Protea Cottage:  3 rooms, accommodate 6 guests
Brunia Cottage:   5 rooms, accommodate 10 guests
Sewejaartjie Cottage:  1 room, accommodate 3 guests
Each cottage is fully equipped to assure that you and your family or friends getaway in nature is perfected with modern self catering facilities and to ensure privacy with satisfactory convenience levels. Each cottage is equipped with a lovely fireplace that creates a “cosy” feel for those colder winter months.

Rooms: 3 rooms (Kol-Kol1, 2 & 3) available, each room with private bathroom. Each room is equipped with a double bed and accommodates 2 guests

Camping: There are camping sites along the Murasie dam, for those who wants to break away from civilization and experience nature in its full glory. Murasieoffer 26 2-sleeper tents, each tent is equipped with 2 mattresses and accommodates 2 guests. The campsite has its own ablution facilities and bos braai lapa. The camping sites offer plenty of shades and a lovely view of the Murasie dam and venue.
