Nelson Wine Estate and Wedding Venue is located in the beautiful Paarl Valley offering exceptional wines, beautiful scenery and lovely wedding and function venues with accommodation. Nelson Wine Estate is a family wine farm in every sense of the word where most of the members of the Nelson family are involved in the running of the business in one way or another.

RECEPTION HALL

Forest Venue
A magical spot in the eucalyptus forest now available for ceremonies with ample parking and electricity (regret no toilet facilities).

Mountain View Venue
The Mountain View, the biggest of the 3 venues and fully draped in white, has a spectacular view from its large windows and balcony of the Stellenbosch and Du Toitskloof Mountains. This venue can accommodate up to 350 guests banquet style with a dance floor, up to 400 conference delegates schoolroom style, and up to 700 guests cinema style.

Lapa Venue
Entering from the wooden veranda, The Lapa Venue, also fully draped, can seat up to 110 guests banquet style with a dance floor, and for corporate functions can accommodate up to 180 guests schoolroom style. The Lapa overlooks the gardens and pool area.

Old Cellar Venue
The Old Cellar venue, circa 1687, is our smallest venue. This rustically built thatch-roof venue oozes old world charm and is perfect for small conferences, kids parties or kitchen teas. It is also an ideal venue to use as a chapel for up to 115 guests

ACCOMMODATION

We offer two types of accommodation units – standard overnight rooms and luxury suites.

All of the units lead out onto a large porch, whereas the suites' porch has an additional built in braai – an ideal facility for those wanting to socialize with a glass of our excellent wines either before or after a wedding or function.

Enjoy lavish sunsets and walks through the vineyards at daybreak, go for a morning swim in the crystal clear pool overlooking the Chardonnay vineyard or simply enjoy a cup of rich coffee on the patio while taking in the sights and sounds of the Cape Winelands the way it was meant to be experienced.

Standard Rooms x12 –
These rooms are equipped with either twin single beds or a queen size bed and has an en-suite open plan shower and toilet facility. The rooms all have air conditioning as well as small fridges and coffee facilities – ideal for a one night stay

Luxury Suites x3 –
These are identical and equipped with King size beds, DSTV, air conditioning, kitchenettes and en-suite bathrooms with bath and shower facilities;

The Family Suite x1 –
The family unit, which is similarly equipped but larger than the other suites with more kitchen space containing a full four-plate stove and dining space for 4 guests. There is also a sleeper couch which can accommodate an additional adult or two younger children. This suite can also be linked via an inter-leading door to one of the other suites for larger families;

A magnificent Bridal Suite –
This beautifully decorated unit oozes romance with its imposing King size presidential poster bed, crystal-like chandeliers, mirrored doors and archways and lots more to pamper and to please, including a sunken Jacuzzi bath and spacious open glassed shower.
