The Cow Shed Wedding Venue Halfway between Lydenburg and Dullstroom, where the Highveld ends and the Lowveld begins, where the mood of the landscape changes dramatically. Where the wind that blows from the Steenkamps mountain range is laden with stories of hunters and prospectors of old.
It is here that you will find that the air is clear and that the veldt carries its own distinctive perfume. This is where you will find our farm and home of the event and wedding venue, The Cowshed.
This is where families are reminded of how special they are and where relationships are refreshed and new chapters begin. Here we celebrate the joy of life and friendships.
Our farm is an idyllic picturesque stronghold for traditional country living and hospitality. Where no comfort has been spared, and the days melt seamlessly from one into the other, where serenity is a way of life, not just wishful thinking!

Your reception hosted in our simplistic Old Shed, a blank canvas yearning for a unique and stylish experience to be brought to life. We are confident it will be a night to remember. The décor, with a nod to yesteryear or crisp and minimalistic, is unusual and inspiring. With its white cement floors that beckon even the most reluctant dancer to take a turn, the hand-made wire chandeliers or edgy modern lamp shades, you know this will be an occasion none of your guests will forget. The modern freshness combined with a relaxed farm feeling will take your breath away.

Say your “I do’s” under the old Tipuana tree, or in the open air framed chapel overlooking the hills and plains of the Badfontein Valley. The Cowshed team will do everything they can to ensure your day is as beautiful and unique as your relationship.
ACCOMMODATION
There are four vintage houses on the farm! Choose between The Cowshed, The Boarding House, The Mountain House and The Farm House… or book all four!
We also have a fabulous new Bridal suite – private and secluded, overlooking one of the numerous dams on the farm – equipped with all the little luxuries that will make your stay a true African experience.
Each of the four farmhouses has a fully-equipped kitchen, a beautifully crafted outdoor braai area, an indoor fireplace, as well as DSTV. The accommodation is serviced daily. We provide tea, coffee (filter and instant), sugar and milk, as well as homemade rusks
